Dear Friend I have done main part of my “Inventory Control Software” in VB 6.0 by using Microsoft Access 2002 as database. I have used toolbar on MDI form as mother form where different options are available. Please see my code in below: Private Sub Toolbar1_ButtonClick(ByVal Button As MSComctlLib.Button) Dim i As Variant If Button.Index = 1 Then frmpurchaseqty.Show ElseIf Button.Index = 2 Then frmsystemusing.Show ElseIf Button.Index = 3 Then frmvariouspurchaseoptqry.Show ElseIf Button.Index = 4 Then frminventoryqueryoptions.Show ElseIf Button.Index = 5 Then i = MsgBox("Want to quit?!!!", vbYesNo, "QUIT FROM PROGRAM") If i = 6 Then End End If End If End Sub Now if I don’t work for some time (I want to specify the time, for example, 5 minutes) i.e. if I don’t touch any button of keyboard or mouse, then automatically the system will ask for password and will prompt before the mother form (i.e. on MDI form) what we observe in windows. The password I want to specify, for example, “pervez”. After inserting password, the mother form (i.e. MDI form will be in working condition). Please help by providing necessary coding. I'm looking for the best accounting software to fit these requirements: 1. I currently have a Mac, although I need to replace it, but am thinking of replacing it with another Mac. 2. I need something that will either run several divisions, each with it's own set of clients & accounts, or several companies. I need to track hours and compute payroll, track inventory & shipping, and track general ledger information such as costs and profits. I would love something that I can download information from my bank and paypal. I have been looking at several software systems. If anyone has experience with one or more, can you say if you like it or not & why? Or which you think is the best and why? Also, if you know of any others, that's awesome too. Quickbooks- heard it crashes a lot and I need a subscription for payroll MoneyWorks- Heard awesome things, but it's expensive Peachtree- looks good, but I don't see a Mac version GNU Cash- free, that's awesome, can't tell if it tracks inventory & don't know much about it Microsoft Money- I'm just assuming this doesn't run on Mac Thanks for any insight! as far as the payroll service, I really DON'T want to pay for it. I have only myself as an employee & am quite capable of going to the IRS & state websites to look at withholdings & calculating it myself. I just need something to track hours & invoices. moreVoting Question: How do you sell your store's items online?
I manage a small dance-wear retail store, and we've been trying to figure out how to create an online store to supplement our regular sales. We have a website that is maintained by another company that I do not have access to editing or maintaining. I do have the ability to maintain a website, however, and I would specifically prefer to have the ability to maintain our online store for inventory and customer service purposes. Have you ever created an online store for your own business? Do you have experience working with any software, programs or hosting sites that create good online stores that you can recommend? We use Quick Books Point of Sale software, and I'm curious to know if there's any way to integrate that inventory system with the inventory system of our online store. Do you have any knowledge of Quick Books having an online store software system? Do you have any good or bad experiences with it? We have a business paypal account from a brief period of trying to sell items on eBay, which we gave up on for several reasons. Our financial resources are fairly limited, and my time is extremely valuable and limited as well, so slightly lower-cost options that would ideally take less than a month of set-up time would be ideal. However, I'm open to any suggestions and insight that anyone has! Thank you! moreResolved Question: Why is it that retail cash resister software cannot put a partial transaction into a cache...?

I am working for this medium/big-sized truck part supplier company for three months now. I started as a guy who would assist in compiling all of the parts in our inventory in one big spreadsheet and prepare it for another group responsible for building the website (software as service). Starting pay was $9 but because after a week, I was showing excellence, I was immediately raised to $12 per hour. This is probably because I taught them how to use (and moved all of the data to) databases and I am also assisting heavily with the website building and designs, even though these are not in my job descriptions, because honestly, the other guys are not as competent as me, no offense and I did not mean to brag. I have intermediate knowledge in PHP, MySQL, Java, CSS, XHTML, JavaScript..all of these technologies are being put to good use in the workplace. Since I accumulated the knowledge of the different terms and elements of the business model, I can be confident to say that they will have a very hard time finding someone to replace my position. I have been working there for more than three months now, and I was expecting some sort of performance review (accompanied by a raise hopefully) but it never came. I know that it is still very early, but should I still continue with this company or try and find work somewhere? I know that our company is not being affected by the recession and is in fact doing very good. Facts: 0. I am being paid $12.00 in California. 1. I am doing stuff not in my job descriptions. 2. Most of these need expertise in certain technologies (PHP, etc) 3. After a few months, I understood the complicated business model. 4. I am 85% satisfied/happy with the workplace. 5. Each package includes a shrink-wrap agreement that limits warranties and remedies. Precision Engineering Associates (PEA) buys an Omega package and uses the product. Later, PEA files a suit against Omega, claiming that the software is flawed and that the flaws caused PEA to suffer business losses. PEA asks for relief that exceeds the limits in the shrink-wrap agreement. What are shrink-wrap agreements? Are these agreements always enforced? What concerns would investors and creditors have based on only this information? 4. What additional financial and nonfinancial information would investors and creditors need to make investing and lending decisions for Lucent Technologies? Reading: Executive Summary We design and deliver the systems, software and services that drive next-generation communications networks. Backed by Bell Labs research and development, we use our strengths in mobility, optical, access, data and voice networking technologies, as well as services, to create new revenue-generating opportunities for our customers, while enabling them to quickly deploy and better manage their networks. Our customer base includes communications service providers, governments and enterprises worldwide. We have three segments organized around the products and services we sell. The reportable segments are Integrated Network Solutions (“INS”), Mobility Solutions (“Mobility”) and Lucent Worldwide Services (“Services”). INS provides a broad range of software and wireline equipment related to voice networking (primarily consisting of switching products, which we sometimes refer to as convergence solutions, and voice messaging products), data and network management (primarily consisting of access and related data networking equipment and operating support software) and optical networking. Mobility provides software and wireless equipment to support radio access and core networks. Services provides deployment, maintenance, professional and managed services in support of both our product offerings as well as multi-vendor networks. Beginning in fiscal 2001, the global telecommunications market deteriorated, resulting from a decrease in the competitive local exchange carrier market and a significant reduction in capital spending by established service providers. This trend intensified during fiscal 2002 and continued into fiscal 2003. Reasons for the market deterioration included general economic slowdown, network overcapacity, customer bankruptcies, network build-out delays and limited availability of capital. We believe that the market for telecommunications equipment has stabilized and is starting to grow in certain areas. The growing demands of enterprises and consumers for additional services tailored to their needs is creating the need for a new convergence of networks, technologies and applications. We have three desktop computers all running Peachtree Accounting software and one server connecting the three. Currently, we have 2Gb of RAM on this server, but still the work goes very slowly when opening inventory lists, etc. in the peachtree program. We have a few rather large databases (180Mb) which we usually have simultaneously open on all three computers. Of course, the server has to handle all this traffic (continually updating and saving the data) on a 100 Mb/s network connection. It sometimes takes 2-3 minutes just to enter an inventory number on peachtree. I was just wondering if any one had any knowledge and experience in this area. Should we get more RAM or processor speed on our server (it's 2.66Mhz)? I can offer additional information if you need it to make a proper diagnosis. Of course I meant the processor is 2.66 Ghz. duh. moreVoting Question: I want to start a new it company , Give me some good names?
